Description
We specialize in surgeries of the chest, primarily heart and lung operations, including the major blood vessels of the chest. We replace and repair areas damaged by aneurysms, injuries, and tears of the aorta and other major thoracic blood vessels.
Our two highly skilled and board-certified cardiothoracic surgeons design individualized treatment plans for optimal surgical outcomes. Our staff includes two cardiac anesthesiologists who are board certified in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). TEE is a diagnostic test that uses an ultrasound device inserted through the esophagus to image the heart and surrounding structures.
Harrison offers cardiac surgery for adult patients. Available procedures include:
- Valve replacement and repair
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Repair of septal defects (holes in walls between chambers of the heart)
- Biopsy and surgical removal of tumors
- Surgical correction of arrthymias, such as atrial fibrillation

Description
For more than 20 years, Harrison has offered endovascular surgery to treat obstructed arteries throughout the body. We have successfully treated arterial blockages to the brain, arms, kidneys, intestines, and legs. In addition, we have treated aneurysms (abnormal ballooning of blood vessels) in the chest, abdomen, and legs. Thanks to medical advances, most procedures now are minimally invasive and low risk, with short recovery times.
Our two highly qualified, board-certified vascular surgeons offer:
- Aggressive risk-modification intervention (such as diet, exercise, and management of blood pressure and diabetes)
- Arterial bypass surgery
- Endarterectomy (surgical removal of plaque from narrowed arteries)
- Placement of balloons and stents to treat aneurysms and arterial blockage
- Diagnostic vascular ultrasound testing
